A long wait for the Venetian shipyards of Chania

The initial roadmap for the restoration of the Neoria, the iconic Venetian shipyard buildings in the old port of Chania, was presented by the Municipality at a press conference on Monday 14th April. A specialised company which can cope with the type and the size of the operation will now be sought to bring the project to fruition.

Presentation on the Venetian Shipyards of Chania

A book entitled Neoria Chanion (Shipyards of Chania), containing research results and planning proposals for seven Venetian shipyard buildings on the old harbour in Chania, will be presented on Wednesday 20th September at the Megalo Arsenali (KAM) from 12:00 to 14:00 in the presence of the Minister for Culture Lina Medoni.
