Aegean Air is introducing a number of changes to its schedules for 2025, with 7 new direct routes being added domestically and 2 internationally. In Crete, the airline will be flying direct from Chania to Rhodes and from Heraklion to Rhodes, Naxos, Kos and Corfu. Internationally, it will be flying direct from Athens to Iraq and Azerbaijan. Aegean retains airline award for 14th year
Aegean has once more been voted the Best Regional Airline in Europe in the Skytrax World Airline Awards for 2024. Aegean celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and the award is its 13th successive and the 14th overall win in this category. In addition it was 2nd in the ranking of Best Regional Airline in the World, coming second to Bangkok Airways, and third in the list of Best Airlines in Southern Europe, after Turkish Airlines and Iberia.

Aegean airlines, which although privately owned has the status of Greece’s national carrier since its merger with Olympic Air in 2013, has been voted “Best Regional Airline in Europe” for the 12th successive year and the 13th year in 14 years. The award was made at the World Airline Awards run by the air travel rating site Skytrax, at the Paris Air Show on 20th June.
