A Book Bazaar is running in the exhibition space of the KAM (Megalo Arsenali) on the old port in Chania from Wednesday 7th May to Saturday 24th May. Works published by the Municipality of Chania, the Municipal Picture Gallery and the Centre for Mediterranean Architecture on art, history and architecture are available free or at very low prices.

Marine paintings exhibition extended in Chania
The exhibition of marine paintings by Konstantinos Volanakis at Chania’s Municipal Art Gallery is to be extended for another month. Entitled “Nostos of the Sea, works from the collection of the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation”, the exhibition, which was due to close on 31st December, is now open until 31st January 2024.

An exhibition of paintings by the major marine painter Konstantinos Volanakis, with works from the collection of the Aikaterini Laskaridi Foundation, was inaugurated at the Chania Municipal Art Gallery on Friday 21st July. A total of 57 works by the artist make up the exhibition, which is being held under the sponsorship of the Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou. The exhibition also includes oil paintings belonging to the Hellenic Navy, the Hellenic Parliament and the Bank of Greece.
